Land & Marine Supply LLC polymers are used to separate solids from liquids in geotextile tubes. Geotextile tubes are an extremely popular way to dewater dredged and pumped slurries world wide. Geotextile tubes can handle relatively high flows of material when compared to most mechanical dewatering methods.
The fabric used to build the tubes is a high strength woven material sewn together with industrial sewing machines to create an enclosed porous container with fillports on top to pump the slurry into. Polymers are injected at various distances away from the tubes depending on material and flows.
The effluent is then caught and either pumped or gravity fed away from the dewatering site.
