One of the keys to a successful boom installation is the anchoring system. When anchoring boom, knowledge of water depth and current is necessary to determine the correct number and size of anchors as well as the length of anchor line.
Each set comprises of the following; 23lb / 10.4 kg Danforth type galvanized steel anchor with safety wired galv. shackle. 8ft / 2.43m x 3/8″ (10 mm) galvanized steel chain lower rode. 60ft / 18m x 5/8″ (16 mm) polypropylene rope upper rode with thimbles. Buoy – standard 15″ / 38 cm inflatable 6ft / 1.82m x 5/8″ / 16 mm polypropylene painter rope with thimble and Galv. shackle.Optional: Anchor trip line with buoy, longer lengths of upper rode |
